Goldcrest Lodge is a peaceful hideaway within secluded woods on the 140 acre historic estate of Wadhurst Castle in East Sussex. The wooden lodge is designed to blend into its woodland setting, yet is bright and spacious with modern luxuries – perfect for a romantic break, a restful escape or for reconnecting with nature. It has a double bedroom with king-size bed (5 ft) and a huge picture window, plus a double sofa bed in the sitting room, sleeping between 2-4 guests.

You are surrounded by nature while you enjoy the comfort and style of the lodge and its deck, complete with atmospheric lighting and private screened bath.

Parking for several cars is conveniently situated a short walk away along a gently lit pathway and through its own gateway. From your arrival, you can take in the stunning views over the woodland, the castle, and the estate, and immediately feel your relaxing escape has begun.

Goldcrest Lodge has a central main room for relaxing and socialising, eating and whiling away the time, that leads to a kitchen area to one side, beyond which is the separate shower room.

Please note also that, for safety, Goldcrest Lodge and its woodland is strictly no smoking, and no bbq’s or fires are permitted. Smoking is permitted on the decking area only and ashtrays are provided.

As a courtesy to our neighbours, we ask that noise is kept to a minimum, that there is no amplified or percussion music outside and only quiet music inside and that there are no large groups. Please do not take any furniture for use inside the lodge, outside.
